Online visa extensions have changed a bit

I did my month 5 to month 6 extension online
Not sure I'll be able to extend online again next time.
It took 10 minutes from applying online to getting my visa by email
No need to print it; just show the email to BI if they ask
The cost is exactly the same as going to BI in person
The 6-month extension isn't available anymore
The immigration office at Gmall in Cebu tried to make me change my ACR card for a first-month extension because of a 'new requirement', saying I had to go to the Lapu-Lapu office. Both offices were completely empty in the middle of the day.
It's been the same for at least the past few years. Month 6 has to be in person because you need a new ACR. After that you can go back to doing it online.
Yep, super annoying and inconvenient. I couldn't extend online yesterday and had to go in person
I don't think that's right. You need to get an ACR card when you extend to 59 days after arrival
