Help with a phone problem

My wife broke her phone. She's in the Philippines right now and I'm in the US. We're on T-Mobile and her phone is a Galaxy Z Flip 7. Should she try one of the many phone repair stalls? If she buys a new phone, will it take the SIM from the broken one? We want to keep her number since everything is tied to it. What would you do in this situation? Thanks in advance for any help!

Don't try the phone repair stalls unless the phone is wiped/reformatted and you've never put banking info on it

T-Mobile can activate an eSIM remotely.

I've bought lots of phones in the Philippines — she can use her SIM in a new phone. Tell her to go to a Samsung or Apple store; the malls have plenty of other shops too.

Z Flip woes

I'm on my third Z Flip. I'm guessing her screen died? Screen replacement isn't cheap! These phones are notorious for it, and I'm getting out of the foldable fad once this one dies. Not one of them is free of screen problems. I'm going to get an old Galaxy S7.

Is she a local Filipina or American? If she's local, I'm sure she knows the better options
