A few of the people I've been chatting with are college students, and they're upfront that their main goal is to find someone to sponsor them through school.

I'm curious: has anyone here started that kind of arrangement and had it grow into a genuine, working, long-term relationship? Or does the money side end up defining the relationship?

The sad thing is, their course of study leads nowhere…

Seriously, they probably have a boyfriend and you're just a sugar daddy. So be careful you don't get mugged.

Over the past decade we've sponsored three people through college, and they graduated, and right now we're sponsoring three more who graduate next year. I tell each of them that when they graduate, they have to give back and sponsor at least two people over the next 15 years of their career. And they have to tell those people to do the same. That way my donations last forever. I've also helped at least 30 kids with elementary and high school costs, though not the whole thing. One of the people we sponsored, an accountant, has been my personal virtual assistant for the last 4 years.

Lots of hookers want you to sponsor them too. 😂

If a man wants to support her, why does anyone care? It's his money; he can do what he wants.

Apparently it's just a few, very few students you've talked to who want their studies sponsored. The fact is, college students, male and female, work their way through school and don't rely on money from anyone outside their family😏
