Any recommendations for areas to live in the Philippines?
I'm visiting long-term / moving to the Philippines from Korea in 10 days. Any recommendations on where to live? I'm flying into Manila first and staying there to get used to things, but I'd appreciate anything you know. I like convenience (gyms, supermarkets, restaurants, etc.). Open to anything.

I strongly suggest visiting Panay Island before committing to settle anywhere. It has four provinces to choose from, each with its own character. It's a laid-back place away from the hustle and bustle of Metro Manila.

Davao. Cheap but safe, and it has everything a big city has.

BGC (Bonifacio Global City), close to supermarkets, restaurants, and hospitals

Besides Manila, Baguio, Clark, and Cebu have a big Korean presence, meaning shops, grocery stores, and restaurants

Laguna, Cavite, or Tagaytay, if you want a secure walled neighborhood

I just read the comments. Nobody checks the profile. No, the poster isn't Korean.
