The more I learn about him, the more he turns out to be an all-around great guy. He played a big part in getting the Friends cast to negotiate their salaries together, so nobody ended up angry about being paid less than anyone else.

Whenever I see Schwimmer posted on Reddit, I like to comment that he seems like a genuinely funny and nice person. People hated Ross, but he was carrying a lot of that show much of the time. It wasn't an easy role, and neither was Sobel in Band of Brothers, which he nailed. He's a really talented director too, and more than once I've watched a movie, loved it, and found out he made it. Finally, I once read an article where the poor guy didn't realize the internet is full of trolling psychos, and he spent about 45 minutes respectfully debating someone online before he figured out it wasn't that kind of forum. And then there's this post. I'm not some huge fan, but I'd say it's rare for a celebrity to come up this seldom and seem so genuine every time. I'm praying this comment doesn't start a wave of 'Schwimmer was a jerk' stories, but as of writing this, I'm rooting for the guy.
He should've pivoted.
