I'll be staying in Quezon City at the end of this month
I've never been there before.. though I've been to the Philippines many times.

I'd appreciate suggestions for an area to stay in and, if possible, a place to stay

Ideally even one with a kitchen and a balcony.

Eastwood City is very safe, walkable, has lots to do, and plenty of Airbnbs with kitchens. I'm a bit biased because I live there.😁

QC is huge. I live in QC in a great location too, but we need more info. Let me guess. There's a lady, and she lives in ??? We need to know the neighborhood. Novaliches is 22 km from where I live in Eastwood. It's all Quezon City.

Be careful. I got married there and was fine, but later found out it has the highest crime rate in the Philippines
