A question about condos

I'm thinking about looking into moving to the Philippines. My expectations are pretty low overall, but where I live has to be quiet. So I'm wondering whether condos generally come with decent soundproofing, or whether they're like typical US apartment buildings where you can hear your neighbors.

Above all, I want a peaceful day-to-day life. I know full well that everything outside my home will be very different from what I'm used to, but my home has to be my sanctuary. If I can't have that, it's not even worth a scouting trip.

Zero soundproofing. You'll hear the neighbors' karaoke and music You'll hear them โ€˜banging the wallsโ€™ You'll hear people walking by and chatting constantly

Some condos have super thin walls and some don't. You'll have to research which is which. My current condo is quiet โ€” I can't hear a thing. My previous one was brand new but had super thin walls, and I could hear the neighbors talking through them. It also helps to get a bigger one-bedroom rather than a tiny 25โ€“30 sqm studio.

Come over for a few weeks. Only you can decide what's too noisy for you. The Philippines is not a quiet country.
