Porch geese are a real thing. People dress them up for each season. They're all over my town. Silly, but kind of kitschy-cool.
A few months ago my wife came home VERY excited. She ran into my office: 'I GOT A GOOSE!' Not knowing at all that this was a thing, I'm thinking she.. bought one? Hit one with her car? I immediately thought of the episode of The Office where Dwight brings one in as roadkill and wants to cook it. Anyway, she got said PORCH goose, named it 'Mother Goose', and has decorated it every season since. According to her, they've been hard to find.
