My favorite Italian phrase: “bon appetit”

They only needed to add a U and an O to get it right (Buon Appetito). Shame.

Also, ‘Enjoy your meal’ isn't exactly Italian!
Here in Italy we say “buon appetito” all the time.
We also say “Magnate sta pizza e statte zitto,” in various dialects.
And roughly what does that mean?
“Eat that pizza and shut up”
I'll take ‘Ape tit’ for $500, Trebek.
“Bon appetit” has pretty much been adopted into English these days.
