How do you all feel about the Philippines?

We see a lot of rant posts, but I'm curious how the silent majority feels about the Philippines.

There should have been an 'Other' option too.

Here's what I've realized about the Philippines. Everyone who says 'it's a good place to find a traditional woman' is talking about a reputation the Philippines hasn't had since 2010. I get really annoyed watching all these expat YouTubers and it's always the same thing: warning men not to blow all their money on a girl. It's so frustrating that I had to manually make sure those videos stopped being recommended to me. The Philippines is great if you just want casual sex with a bunch of different women, I guessโ€ฆ But if you want to settle down with someone, have a traditional marriage or relationship, and not get cheated for moneyโ€ฆ from what I've heard, Vietnam, Thailand, even Cambodia are much better. They're more cultured, just better. If you don't like the West, the Philippines isn't really the place, because it's heavily influenced by the West and Manila bows to Washington DC at every turn. America tells them to pass this law or do that to protect women more, and the Philippines does it exactly the way the US wants. So if you hate the West, you're much better off going to a Southeast Asian country more aligned with China. I'm not saying that because China is so great. Don't get me wrong. I'm saying it because China doesn't tell other countries how to govern. There are so many things the Philippines doesn't even care about that it does because America told it to. Also the social media addiction, the dumb TikTok dancing so many girls do, it's just embarrassing. The Philippines is about two generations away from being traditional. About 30 years ago, if a woman in the Philippines wore a crop top, everyone would gossip. Now? It's considered normal. Girls shaking their butts on social media? It's actually more socially accepted than here in the US. Most social circles in the US don't look kindly on girls dancing provocatively on social media. They're a bit more quiet about it. They might wear an outfit that shows off their body a little, but dancing like it's a mating call? It's embarrassing. They basically have no social media etiquette. I won't comment much on Vietnam, Cambodia, or Thailand because I haven't been, I've only done a little research. But everything I've heard says they're at least better than the Philippines when it comes to dating. That's all I'm saying.

Poor social education, and the same goes for culturalism. Getting citizenship through immigration is too hard and finding work is almost impossible, but I still like the country. I just hope this changes one day and it becomes more open

It takes some getting used to, but I love it with my lifestyle. Some people feel differently. Understanding a fair amount of Bisaya and Tagalog helps.
