That's South America. I used to live in Colombia, and the Philippines doesn't feel money-driven at all by comparison.

You actually have to work hard to find relationships that are healthy enough. If you're not finding them anywhere, maybe question the common denominator in all those attempts

OP isn't very articulate, but let's rephrase it as 'relationships are transactional.' Yeah, very much so in Southeast Asia.
