Some of you are in such denial that you can't even admit to yourselves that this country has plenty of gross single foreign men preying on poor, pretty young women.
There are lots of genuinely decent, good people living here. Some of them are older white guys, sweet men who married a Filipina either here or back home, and whose wife probably talked them into settling in the Philippines. I've also met young guys who came here for all sorts of reasons, from the culture to the weather to the low cost of living.
And then there's the 'loser' crowd. Guys who couldn't meet women back home, and who come here and use their racial status to fool, or basically buy relationships from, attractive working-class women who barely make enough to get through each day. And while they're at it, they act all high-minded about how much better they are, even though they're people everyone avoids and are usually sitting alone.
To that particular crowd: you're not 'that guy.' You don't know a thing. Nobody is impressed by how many women you've slept with or how loyal your wage slave is to you. Good for her for finding a way out, but you're a pathetic human being that most of us would get depressed just being around. I hope that staying by your side through your final days sets her up for life.
Honestly, what you're describing is often just two predators finding each other. If you think these relationships aren't a win for both sides, you're fooling yourself. That said, fat old men who'd never even get a shot at dating a woman in the States can go to the Philippines, land someone way out of their league, and find young girls more than happy to bleed them dry. Usually these are girls with nothing to offer except being young and sex. Barely any life skills, no education, and no ability to think for themselves. In a lot of the cases I've seen, they weren't even functioning adults. Often it's a match made in heaven. They deserve each other.
Why would OP waste time online writing a little essay about some so-called 'loser crowd'? Sounds like someone with rock-bottom self-esteem in real life and a side of online arrogance.
Why do you keep fixating on a minority when most foreigners just want a decent dating or married life?

It takes two to tango, but somehow if you're older and uglier than some young 20-something white guy and you want a relationship, you get called 'a loser' and 'a pathetic human being.' So if a tall, handsome 25-year-old white guy comes here and has one girlfriend after another, that's fine. But if you're old and ugly, you're a loser preying on Filipinas. So tell me, who's the shallow one in this discussion? The expats, or you, OP?
Sure, not every expat relationship is transactional or predatory, but denying that LHRs (passport bros/sex tourists) exploit the systemic poverty here is pure cope. Both things can be true: good couples exist, and predatory creeps are heavily concentrated here.
