What does it feel like to get old?
I don't want to get old, I'm scared of dying. Is it as bad as people say?
Honestly, getting old is tiring. The energy isn't always there. Getting things done in a foreign country is sometimes hard. Even small repairs, for example, feel like a big deal when you're trying to communicate at a hardware store that doesn't have much on hand. Death is a strange thing. We're here, living day to day, and then one day we suddenly stop existing. It scares me too sometimes. Nobody ever told us why we're here, so I made my own purpose. I want to give my partner (me 67, her 40) and our daughter a good life. Our girl is in college now and I'm so proud of her. Helping fill their lives with opportunity and happiness is enough for me. I have good friends here and a sweet woman. I have a nice motorcycle that's real therapy for me. I love traveling, and I don't love working out but I still do it. What I've realized is that life is day to day, so it's best to enjoy every moment.
I'm a 54-year-old woman, and YES I'm already old, but when I think about how to live a good life it still feels like I'm in my 40s. It's like I still want lots of things to happen in my life..
What does it feel like to be old? Bit too general a question for this sub, don't you think? Let me narrow it down.... Ask the old guys with pretty Filipina girlfriends. I'm sure they're not complaining.
Nah, not if you take care of yourself. We all have a 'best before' date, but nobody knows the expiration date.
Anyone who keeps the ability to see beauty never grows old.
