Good old double-helix parking garage
These things absolutely break my brain. It's like two parallel universes sharing the same space, and if you end up in the wrong one you're screwed forever.
Can confirm. Happened to me 27 years ago. Still trying to get to my car.
A couple of years ago I had to return a car I'd rented through Turo in Hawaii. I was supposed to leave it in the airport parking garage, on level 7. I found every level EXCEPT 7. I even found 8 and 9. I could NOT find 7. Feeling like a complete idiot, I texted the owner, and he said to just leave it on 6. I've never been so lost in a damn parking garage.
This little maneuver is gonna cost them 5 hours.
But it's impossible. No โ it's necessary.
It's a bit mad that they didn't put a little pedestrian connection where the two floors pass each other.
Pedestrian? What do you mean??? Why don't they just drive to their cars?
Grandpa better hop that fence like he's running from the cops.
Even more fun is getting around these in a wheelchair. I was at a hotel once, and after we parked we tried to find the elevator. Turns out there wasn't one โ they expected people to just go down the car ramp, which was way too steep and, you know, had cars coming down it.
This happened to me once at university. I spent an hour looking for my car because I could hear its alarm but couldn't find it.
