Has anyone here recently traveled from the Philippines to the US, especially flying out of Cebu and landing in San Francisco?

We're going to the US for the first time, and I wanted to ask about packing Filipino food in our checked luggage. We're planning to bring pasalubong (gifts) like dried fish, chicharron, canned corned beef, and dried mangoes.

For those who've brought these recently, did you have any problems when you arrived in the US? Was any food taken, or did everything get through fine? I just want to know what to expect

Don't do it. All of that is available in the Bay Area. Seafood City is my go-to.

You can't bring anything that isn't commercially packaged and sealed ... As for which items, I'm not sure .. Things like dried mangoes are fine .. There are Asian stores in the Bay Area selling Filipino staples

I didn't even bring dried mangoes because I was told they were prohibited, especially meat and fish delicacies. I landed at LAX, though.
