Did You Know? Limay, Bataan

Did you know that the ONLY operating refinery in the entire Philippines ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ is in Limay, Bataan?

Its capacity is 180,000 barrels of crude oil a day.

It produces gasoline, diesel, LPG, jet fuel, kerosene, and petrochemicalsโ€ฆ.. and supposedly supplies 40% of the Philippines' total fuel needs.

Not exactly a robust energy program.
Having just one refinery is an embarrassment.

One-month-old account? CPP troll?

Cheaper to import

The Shell refinery in Batangas has been closed since 2020. According to Shell, it's basically much cheaper to import than to refine.

Hence the high energy prices in the Philippines. Such a shame.

Are you trying to expose them so they lose their monopolistic bureaucracy? Because if you are, they'll report this to the NBI and shut down Reddit for good. Come on now. You know better.
