Just for your information. My Lazada order was just cancelled and the item returned. Reason given: customer could not be reached (by Flash Delivery). They told me they'd deliver on Sunday, but I texted them that we wouldn't be home because it's family day. I asked for Monday delivery and they acknowledged it. No delivery. I had doctor's appointments on Tuesday, so I asked for Wednesday. No acknowledgment. Today I got notified that they returned the item, and they said they didn't deliver because it was raining. Hmm…

I never use COD, so I don't have to be home when they deliver and there's no need to communicate at all

This is the Philippines, where nothing is the way it's supposed to be, so just relax and order again 😆

The same thing happened to me twice with Flash Delivery. From now on I won't order anything if they're the courier.

Delivery tips

I have the opposite problem with Flash Express. They know the barangay hall will accept deliveries, and they also know we always have workers in the bodega near the house. After a quick 'ay-yaw' at the fence, which I can't hear from my study, they drop it at the bodega or the barangay hall. Not a huge problem, but annoying. One rider, Chris, knows to call me when he's at the house. And that might be your solution - go to your barangay hall and ask if they'll accept a package for you when you know you won't be home. Then let the courier know. That's one of the good things about having the LGU right there on the ground.

Wrong deliveries

I often find Lazada packages left at my door by drivers who don't even bother ringing the bell. And often they aren't even mine. They only ring when payment is due, and they're not happy when I refuse to pay for a delivery meant for someone else.
