Any expats here living full-time on a tourist visa?

Have you ever been blocked by immigration when re-entering, or heard of anyone who was?

By the way, I'm in this category myself. I travel a lot and use the PH as a base. I just checked my eGov app and this is my 9th entry this year lol.

If you enter 9 times a year, it reads to me like you're touring a lot. Touring is pretty much exactly what a tourist does.

I've been coming and going on a tourist visa for 20+ years. No issues at all. I just travel out every couple of years.

You can stay and keep renewing your visa for 3 years before they tell you they won't renew anymore. But the good thing is, you can leave and come back and the clock starts all over again.

Not my personal experience, but I've heard immigration is pushing people toward a permanent visa.
