Bedridden expat – looking for assisted living

Does anyone know an assisted living facility that's good for foreigners? We've been taking care of him for three years. We'd like to keep caring for him at home, but the problem is he can't be nice to his caregivers or our helper. He's really stubborn. It should be near Metro Manila so we can visit every weekend, and please tell us the price if you know it. I looked into Rain Tree, but they don't answer our messages or tell us the price. He's 77 and American.

Dementia or temper?

Is it dementia, or is he just a jerk? My late wife had dementia, and I had to put her in a memory care unit at an assisted living home. Back in 2021 in Florida, it cost 5,000 US dollars a month.

There's a quote request form on their website: https://raintreecare.com/rates/

I can only imagine how hard this is. Someone I used to work for had a parent like that, and they also sent him to Rain Tree. I can't remember how it went, but I remember they communicated by email and phone. You can check their packages on their website. Oasis Aged Care Village: https://raintreecare.com/pasay-rates/ Bahay Doña Rosario: https://raintreecare.com/muntinlupa-rates/ You could also give them a call.

Try the one in Silang, Cavite. I believe it's called Care One Silang.

He's probably best off with you. If you have the space, or can make it, and find the right caregivers (or just keep cycling through them), he'll likely be happier with you than in a retirement home, which he won't like anyway and which will cost the same or more.
