Pose for it
My daughter-in-law's aunt snatched the microphone from the priest right there in the church and sang on the spot. At her sister's funeral mass. I had to bow my head because I was about to burst out laughing at a 68-year-old woman singing Sade's "Smooth Operator" at her own sister's funeral. According to the aunt, her sister's favorite thing was listening to her sing. I promise you, it was not. Her voice sounds like Adam Sandler's Dracula. On top of that, she couldn't pronounce the R's, so it came out as *Smoove Opewatah*. I nearly died.
Oh my god, something like this happened at my wedding too. The bride's sister was supposed to sing Taylor Swift's Love Story. I've never envied a hearing-impaired person more than I did at that wedding.
Why are the worst amateurs always the most confident? Meanwhile my daughter-in-law, who sings *really* well, is too scared to sing even outside our house. They tease her all the time, saying it's so we stay poor.
Someone needs to recreate this as a comedy sketch. Preferably in a British style, for some reason.
Thought it was cute, but oh damn, yeah, didn't see that coming!
The 'fuuccckkk' sound effect means people really lost their minds. Now it gets lazily tossed into everything, and it makes no sense.
Reddit videos are always muted anyway. This fits much better without sound.
Filipino funerals are usually joyful events. They're a way to honor the life lived and a chance to reunite with relatives. There's always food and drinks from catering too.
Every funeral has that one cousin.
If you've ever been to a Filipino funeral, it's pretty fun.
