Quick question: are annual local property taxes there on the cheap side, or surprisingly expensive?

Obviously it depends on zoning. My 4.5 hectares on the beach is zoned agricultural, so with the October discount I only pay 623 pesos.

You foreigners may call it cheap, but some of us locals find it expensive. But what can we do? It's the government's system...๐ By the way, land prices here are set by zone...

Super cheap... even in the Metro area compared to US property taxes... which is why I think local landowners can set high prices and just sit on the land until someone gets desperate enough to buy... since they don't pay much in taxes every year.
