Philippine ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ Airline Cabin Crew

I read an article about the pay structure for cabin crew at Philippine Airlines (PAL).

PAL - The national airline. Headquarters in Pasay City.

Entry level: 30,000 to 40,000 pesos per month. In US dollars, that's $472 to $630 per month.

The highest pay for senior cabin crew is 60,000 to 80,000 pesosโ€ฆroughly $1,000 to $1,200 per month.

For comparison, United Airlines pays $38.21 per flight hourโ€ฆwith a minimum base salary of $46,000 per year.
The top tier is $105,000 to $120,000.

It's been decades since I last flew PALโ€ฆ.

It's really ridiculous to compare Third World countries with developed countries.

BREAKING NEWS: Norwegians earn more money than Ugandans. For more details, see the 11 o'clock news. Seriously, how dumb is that.

Every time I fly PAL, the flight attendants are really excellent and professional.

That seems like a lower-middle to middle-class income in the Philippines. The United pay structure you mentioned is also lower-middle to middle-class pay in the US. Exactly matches.

This is a strange post. US jobs pay better than Philippine jobs, so the sky is blue? Water is wet? What's next?
