Seriously, this is too much. We went through the pandemic, we were the first K-12 graduates, and now prices have gone up on everything!!! Even fish balls couldn't escape it.

If hard candy goes to 3 for 5 pesos, you know the economy is wrecked.

Mid-20s folks right now really have it rough. Since K-12 started, they're the first batch who couldn't have a traditional in-person graduation because of the pandemic lockdowns. They spent their formative college years online, and some even took a leave of absence, which delayed them further. After graduating, companies were just recovering from the pandemic economy and kept salaries low. Now that they finally have jobs, inflation is huge but pay is still at pandemic levels. 😢

I think even if you're angry at the government, the real culprit is that orange guy. We depend on the dollar in the first place. All the government or the BSP can do is cut interest rates so we feel it less. I hope the US midterm results go well and someone ends up keeping that orange guy in check.
