Training Cessna plane flips over during emergency landing in Pampanga Arayat rice field — Instructor and student pilot rushed to hospital
📌 On October 3 (Sat) at around 2:29 PM, a Cessna training aircraft operated by Omni Aviation Corp. made an emergency landing and flipped over in a rice field in Barangay San Antonio, Arayat, Pampanga. The instructor and student pilot on board were taken to a hospital inside Clark Freeport, and the severity of their injuries varies by reports.
■ Accident Details
· According to investigators, the instructor and student pilot felt severe vibrations in the aircraft during flight and attempted an emergency landing in a rice field.
· Upon landing, the plane hit a rice paddy dike and came to a stop upside down.
· The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) stated that the Aeronautical Rescue Coordination Center received multiple emergency locator transmitter (ELT) signals from the aircraft.
■ Investigation and Current Status
· The initial report was submitted to Brig. Gen. Jess Mendez, Regional Director for Police Regional Office 3 (Central Luzon).
· Rescuers transported the two individuals to The Medical City inside Clark Freeport. Philstar reported that both were injured, while Inquirer reported they escaped without major injuries.
· The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
