It looked like she'd talked herself into buying a cone, figuring that just because birds stole her cone the last 9 times doesn't mean the 10th will be stolen too. Then this one got stolen, and now she has to accept that she's someone who gets cones stolen by birds and that it was foolish to believe otherwise.
