Hi, has anyone here managed to open a bank account with just a tourist visa? Is it possible?
I've lived in BGC for 4 years, but I just renew my tourist visa every month. I renew my ACR card every year too.

You need 6 months of stay on your passport, an ACR card, a lease for where you live here, and proof of income. BDO should help. No problem opening an account with them

Yes, I did it at PNB. You need an ACR card and a certificate of residency from the barangay captain where you live. But even with all that, two different BDO branches refused to let me open an account.

I got turned down at a couple of BPI and BDO branches before finally opening an account with Security Bank.

Don't need one. I just transfer to my Filipina partner's bank and she withdraws cash as needed.
