Some more food for thought...
As someone who farms and grows herbs,
I've come to believe that nature holds cures for diseases we haven't even discovered yet. Every plant has its own healing properties, and I think we've only scratched the surface of what they can do. Sadly, money usually decides what gets researched and what gets passed over. I keep wondering how many valuable treatments are still out there waiting to be found, just because finding them wouldn't make enough money. I truly believe nature can teach us far more than we realize.

Too bad you're not up in the Batangas area. I'd love some asparagus. Pharmaceutical companies don't like alternatives to their pills.

Where do you mostly sell, in the province?

Nature and science

So true! As a grower you see firsthand how much nature has to teach us. We've definitely only scratched the surface. You're spot on about money and patents deciding what gets researched. The other catch is how concentrated medicine has to be: to get the same effect from raw plants, you'd literally have to eat a truckload of leaves! Nature gives us the amazing blueprint, and science concentrates and standardizes it so it's practical to take.

I couldn't agree more.

Traditional medicine

I've lived in Belize for over 20 years and I'm moving to the Philippines next year. Traditional medicine is widely used here. When my worker has a minor ailment, he goes into the bush to get what he needs. Look up traditional Maya remedies, the vegetation is very similar.

Rickey, someone commented that you used old photos in your last post. He'd seen them in another group. Hope you're using current ones now. :-)
