Now I no longer wear expensive watches in the Philippines.
I always wore an Omega Seamaster.
But after seeing that guy who got shot in the head while fighting to keep his chain, I've been having nightmares. I was walking around the slums wearing an $8,000 watch. That's worth as much as a house, or more. Life is crazy.
I could've been shot in the head like an NPC in GTA 6, but I'm still alive.
In the Philippines, the best thing is not to show off your wealth.
How naive is everyone? Walking around a third-world country wearing an $8000 watch? If you have that kind of money, you should hire bodyguards. They're really cheap.
LOL, of course you shouldn't wear that. For many people it's two years of salary. Just holding a new iPhone can attract attention.
In the Philippines, the best way to dress is like someone who doesn't care about fashion or money. I wear zip-off shorts, worn-out hiking boots, and a plain t-shirt. When I'm out, I don't wear a watch or earphones.
Wear a Rolex. In the Philippines 99% of them are fake. If someone asks, just say it's fake. Problem solved.
