Motorcycle Noise Pollution
What does the law say about motorcycle noise pollution in the Davao area of Mindanao?
Our location is ideal and perfect, except for the motorcycles without mufflers that go up the road near our land. It's not all day, every day, but they cut in periodically and disturb our otherwise almost perfectly peaceful neighborhood.
I'm thinking of just buying a Harley-Davidson here, with Freedom Performance loud pipes that shake the ground, and matching or out-roaring the local bikes. At least it would sound awesome 😆
I filed complaints with the barangay several times and nothing was done, so I bought a Ninja with a racing muffler on a straight-through exhaust. Now I ride past that barangay office several times a day at low speed and high RPM. Vroom vroom
Just wait until the New Year celebrations.... 40 motorcycles with no mufflers revving up to 10,000 rpm, with that glorious sound moving your soul as you welcome the new year!!! It reminds me of NASCAR races. You can't stop it. Noise pollution is the least of your worries. You'll get used to it. If not... build a double hollow block wall with a 5 cm gap in between and fill it with sand. It helps a lot indoors. That's how I built my recording studio, and now I record in silence.
