For the men here, how many of you get called "Kano" or some other nickname by your wife's or girlfriend's family?
Just throwing this out for fun, but for years there were plenty of times when nobody ever called me by my real name.
Filipinos call me LeBron James, Mike Tyson, and Michael Jordan. No, I don't look like any of the three lol
I'm a 33-year-old white guy and all I hear is "Sir." "Boss" very occasionally. But I'm in Iloilo, and people here are super shy and introverted. The only ones who talk to me are kids asking for money, and they don't say anything, they just hold out their palm and stare at me like they're looking deep into my soul.
Bro, brother, Kano, AFAM, Joe, foreigner, I've heard them all. And Sir, Friend too.
There are levels. Total stranger: Joe Someone you know: Kano Friend/family: my name Closest people: my nickname Neatly sorted out.
