Dating as an African Woman in the Philippines
I'm a [26F] African woman currently living in the Philippines, and I'd love to hear about the dating experiences of people in a similar situation. I'm single right now and looking for someone to date seriously. I left my home country when I was young and have lived abroad for a long time, so my outlook is pretty global and open-minded. Race isn't a main criterion for me. As long as we click, I'm open to meeting anyone. I especially want to hear from Black women living in the Philippines (or anyone familiar with that community).
- Where did you meet your long-term partner here (yourself or someone you know)?
- What are the overall dating experiences of foreign Black women dating in the Philippines like?
- Do you have any advice on where to meet decent people who are looking for a serious relationship?
Any insights, tips, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
If you like Filipino men, you'll be fine. If you like foreigners, the competition is going to be fierce.
Sold out, ma'am.
Go to askph and ask if anyone likes Black women. Most people here are white middle-aged-and-older men, so they probably won't know. General dating tips. 1. Stay away from dating sites. It's like looking for diamonds in a sewer. Possible, but unlikely. 2. Don't go to bars either. It's like looking for diamonds in a river. Possible, but unlikely. Don't fall for the line 'we don't go to bars much.' 3. Be genuine and talk to guys first, since they're probably shyer. 4. Make good friends through social hobbies. Once those friends get to know you, they'll introduce you to their friends or relatives. 5. Go to the gym or take up an active, social hobby. If you have similar interests, the conversation starts right away.
