Losers Back Home are finally getting talked about
I'm not saying AFAMs aren't desirable anymore. In some circles they still are, and since there's so little social support from the government, some people see them as a ticket out of poverty. Still, I'm glad r/Philippines_Expats (https://www.reddit.com/r/Philippines_Expats/) is finally getting the ick it deserves. Seriously, f***, it's posts like "why are all Filipino houses so dirty," "why does my Filipina get tampo," "why does my Filipina family keep asking for money," and then the comments are like "you're just jealous, a Western pensioner can get more women than local guys," "cash is king." What cash is king? 😂 You'd starve on the salary you make back in your own country, and you still lose out to a Filipina traveling RN. It annoyed me at first, but now it's funny. They aren't even expats, most of them are just guys who date and marry Filipino women, and if any of them actually had to go out and work, they'd collapse in the heat and throw a fit about slow service, saying it's not like back home in Ohio or wherever.
I'll only take these guys seriously when rich Filipinas from Forbes, Dasma, Magallanes, White Plains, and Greenhills start looking at them as partners.
Just curious, what would you make of someone like me? I'm a British guy, and my Filipina wife and I met on holiday when she was working in Singapore at the time. We live in the UK now but plan to move to Iloilo later on. I'm also (slowly) learning the language. Would we be welcome or not? We just want to live a laid-back, simple life and maybe help the local community a little 🤷🏻♂️

Sounds like someone jealous and bitter. How many times have you posted this? There are losers like that, sure, but saying everyone is like this is an excuse and nonsense. Focus on yourself and your country's rampant corruption. Foreigners aren't the problem, and not all of us act like this. Many of us love Filipinos and the culture. Overall I like Filipinos better than Americans, and posts like this make it seem like everyone is bad. What if I lumped all Filipinos together and generalized? That wouldn't be fair, would it?
