True in my case. After I started reading psychology as a hobby, I realized I'm surrounded by people with all kinds of mental illnesses.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is especially visible in psychology students.
When I was studying, the rough estimate was that 8 out of 10 people live their whole lives unaware of an undiagnosed ***treatable*** mental problem. Everyone, don't neglect your mental health. There's a pretty good chance that something you think is just a normal thing everyone goes through can actually get better with therapy or medication.
