Latest satellite images of the Philippine Navy's Rajah Sulayman-class OPVs No. 4 and No. 5

๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ | The latest satellite images of the Philippine Navy's 2,400-ton offshore patrol vessels (OPVs) No. 4 and No. 5, under construction at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries' naval shipyard. The one in the dry dock appears to be BRP Sultan Kudarat (PS-23), and the rear half is BRP Datu Marikudo (PS-24).

The third ship, which will become BRP Rajah Humabon (PS-22), is scheduled to be delivered by February 2027 after sea trials and outfitting are completed. HD Hyundai Heavy Industries has proven its track record with its fast construction pace and adherence to delivery schedules.

The remaining offshore patrol vessels out of the 6 ordered are scheduled to be delivered in 2028, and the 2 additional Miguel Malvar-class frigates that were ordered will be delivered in 2029.

Anything that helps us strengthen our position in the WPS is good. Whether or not China invades, we still have to keep our waters protected from fake claimants trying to steal our resources.
