Labor department warns employers against forcing workers to sing or dance at office Christmas parties
The only loophole here is the phrase "strongly encouraged." Add a spoonful of guilt and a "come on, just join in for once~" and it's done.
Finally, phew. Everyone's exhausted. People who want to have fun *that way* can just do it among themselves. Don't force it on other people. If you want that, hire professional performers.
This is why the older generation says the younger generation is oversensitive. They get offended by everything.
I support this too, and it's not because I don't want to meet people or I'm embarrassed or introverted. It's just a damn hassle. It usually gets dumped on the new hires, and you have to come in after work or on weekends to rehearse. I'm already worn out from working and need the weekend to recharge, and now there's extra work piled on for weeks.
