I'm sure most of you have gotten a 5-sentimo coin in your change at the supermarket and wondered what the point of such a tiny coin is. Well, you might be interested to know it's not the smallest one. I was given a 1-sentimo coin. You'd need over 6,000 of them to make 1 USD. I'm going to hang on to it, along with the silver dollar I got in change 40 years ago. But I doubt it'll ever be worth jack s….
The old 5-centavo coin was better. It had a hole in it and worked as a washer... and was much cheaper than buying washers. I saw lots of fences in the province held together with that coin. 😎🍹🌴
Do you mean centavo?
Never seen a 5-sentimo coin in my change... only 25 centavos
The tenth of a peso and the quarter peso are a joke. You can't even give them to a beggar. The only place that hands them out like candy is the SM Mall stores.
In my country, they say a single cent is the beginning of a million.
Be careful you don't fall foul of the Philippines' anti-hoarding laws on coins 🤔😂🤣 Republic Act No. 427
