The harder version is probably finding the earliest-invented thing and circling it. My guess is the VHS cassette, but the 8-inch floppy disk from way back might come even earlier, not the more familiar 5.25-inch one. (I could look it up, but it's Saturday morning and I can't be bothered.)
According to Google, the VHS came out on September 9, 1976, and the 5.25-inch floppy came out on September 20, 1976. Busy month!
