What's the most recommended way to keep a US phone number while living in the Philippines?

I second Tello. It's less than $10 a month and works for all banking, text confirmations, etc.

I have AT&T, and they charge $12 a day for usage, up to 10 times a month. Sounds pricey, but I only use it for banking and to talk to my kids once a week. Banking just needs to send a verification text. Otherwise I send money to my GCash with zero transfer fees and save on ATM withdrawals too. Using my bank card costs US$5 per transaction, while GCash is 18 pesos.

Get Google Voice before you leave the US. You can't get it from outside the US

Mont Mobile in one SIM slot and whatever in the other. That's what I do.
