Former officer here. This comment is so true it fucking hurts.
Basic training is a fucking trip once you finally get leave and hang out with the guys you've spent the last few months with. Until then you've only seen them under constant supervision, with a task and a purpose almost all the time. When that lifts for a little while, you finally see who they really are. And that's how I ended up in a cheap Georgia motel at 2 a.m. with several hookers and another guy from my platoon. Having never smoked crack or seen what a 55-year-old streetwalker's body looks like, it was way too intense a scene for me.

So funny that Sage Steele was sitting at the desk with no clue what they were talking about. That said a lot about where she was headed.
Sage is in HR... so she's not really part of our family. Also she's divorced, so she's not really part of her own family either.
