Have any of you dug a gwanjeong (deep well)?

Hello, I'd really like some advice on installing a deep well!

If anyone has dug one, could you tell me the total cost (drilling and installation included) and how deep the well is? Please also let me know the location.

We're in a rural area, and we got a quote that was absurdly expensive!

Thank you in advance!!

For comparison, in the US Midwest a new well costs $20,000 to $30,000 depending on depth. So under $10,000 is probably a reasonable price.

I've done this 3 times. The first was 160 ft at 80,000 pesos with a 1 HP pump, and the 2,500-liter tank was separate. The second didn't work. It was different land and only salt water came out, so I just lost the money. The third cost 90,000 pesos with a 1 HP pump, and the 2,000-liter tank on the roof was separate. Water came out at 6 ft, but I drilled down to 12 ft. It's expensive for the depth, but I already signed the contract so I'm not angry. My neighbors' barangay is corrupt with no hope, and no tap water comes through at all. Two neighbors connected to my well (with permission) using their own pumps and their own electricity, and the house next door gets free supply because connecting pipes is so easy. There are 3 pumps and no problems. It's worth the value. It even earns better returns than solar.
