Hi everyone! I'm getting married in April, and the LCR is asking me to submit a PSA CENOMAR. How can I get one if I'm not a Filipino citizen?

Are there any foreigners here who have gone through this? What documents did you need, and how did you apply?

Thanks for your help!

PS: I'm a Spanish citizen

If you're not a Philippine citizen, you can get a certificate of legal capacity to marry from your embassy. Bring your divorce papers and your birth certificate.

Isn't the CENOMAR or proof of single status issued by the country you were born in or live in? If you're not Filipino, you can never get it here... you have to bring it from the country you were in. Or at the very least, bring your divorce papers or annulment papers..

That's for Filipinos and only valid for them. If you're American, skip the Manila embassy and go to the Cebu consulate, which is much easier, pay $50, and get the paperwork. You can also download the document online. I don't remember what it's called, but basically it's a statement that you're not currently married.

I got married in Utah, and proving that we were legally married for the marriage visa was such a headache. I think it was 13A, but I'm not sure. 12a
