Foreigners, I have a question. How do you handle life insurance?

Don't be the kind of person who's worth more dead than alive. :)

Get Transamerica. It covers terminal illness, critical illness, long-term care, and funeral/concierge services, so you can use the money while you're still alive. It's also valid worldwide, including the Philippines.

Get it before you go there. If you want to buy it after you're already there, most insurance companies will require you to sign the application in the US mainland.
