I'm trying to get a ferry ticket from Manila to Coron, but online booking doesn't seem to work well. I'd like to know the departure times and days, and whether I can go to the port and buy a ticket before boarding. Is 2GO the best option?

You can buy them online. I strongly recommend 2GO for going to Coron (Palawan).

You can just go to a 2GO office and check. Search Google for a nearby office. There's also a website, so you can search for "2go ferry" and it'll come up.

When traveling in the Philippines, always be patient and understanding. You'll be less stressed... Even I, a Filipino, get stressed. The Manila-Coron ferry departs Friday at 5:30 PM and arrives Saturday... Some trips can get crowded, so go get your tickets now. The Philippines isn't for everyone, and comparing the Philippines to the UK isn't a fair comparison. There are over 7,000 islands, so it's completely different from the UK.

Keep in mind I've never been to the Philippines. I often watch YouTubers traveling in the Philippines, and moving between islands can sometimes be quite complicated. I saw someone travel several miles, arrive at the ticket booth, wait in line for an hour or two, and buy a ferry ticket at a small window. Then they had to arrive at the port at the designated time, find the right window, show the right ID, and go through several procedures before they could finally board. If you have a motorbike, it gets even more complicated, since you have to book separately to get it loaded onto the ship. It's really chaotic! It feels like a completely different world from traveling in the UK. Over there, you can book ferries or the Eurotunnel online, drive up, and just board the train or ship. I'm sitting in my living room in the UK right now, and if I book Eurotunnel tickets after posting this, in theory I could be in France within four hours. Good luck trying that in the Philippines 😂
