We're going with the whole family: three kids, a 4-year-old and 1-year-old twins. We're looking into relocating.
We're looking for a safe neighborhood with a good hospital no more than 30 minutes away, because my 4-year-old needs to see a hematologist and an immunologist. We plan to check out Cebu, Mactan Newtown, Siargao and Boracay. We'd like somewhere with a beach vibe: a walkable area with restaurants and a beach, and a nice villa with a pool. Any areas you'd recommend?

Given your situation, go with Cebu.

Try Iloilo

Check out Iloilo too. We have some good hospitals here, and some nice beaches not too far away.

Cebu and Mactan really have no free beach access. The condos at Mactan Newtown do have beach access.

If you need hematology and immunology, have a look at BGC and Makati too. The hospitals in Manila that can handle that are Asian Hospital, Makati Med, Medical City, St. Luke's BGC and QC, Cardinal Santos, and Lourdes. For beaches near Manila, could I suggest Batangas, especially Lipa? There's the TPLEX highway for quick trips to the doctor, it's close to the beaches in Calatagan or Lian, and to Tagaytay for nice restaurants and the mountains. My sister and her French husband really like Lipa, Batangas. It's modern and provincial at the same time.

I hope you have excellent health insurance. Immunology meds are VERY expensive, even here in the US. Are the shots every month or every 2 weeks?
