Yeah... he's not an idiot, he's a massive manipulator. That's a disguise. He changed his style because of the movie... I guess you could say he kept it consistent, which is impressive?
Plus, he had just had a baby. He probably hoped those kids would work as a get-out-of-jail-free card.

Hey, anyone can manipulate people regardless of skin color, age, or gender, so why make it about race? And for the record, if someone had commented 'the Black woman's tactic,' I would have said the same thing.
The key difference is that Dodge has a naive kind of optimism. You can tell from how he keeps his eyes looking up even while lowering his head. His blinking is slow and sloppy too. Holmes, on the other hand, is a sociopath, so he's neither positive nor negative about his situation. That's why he looks straight ahead, doesn't tilt his head enough to strain his eye muscles, and doesn't blink.
Wow, this guy is the ultimate manipulator. The way he works, pressuring teams to compete for spots, lying over and over and over, changing his voice to sound more convincing, trying to pin the blame on his partner... But people never learn, damn it.
I can't understand how he convinced so many people. I can't even watch the interview for a full minute. It's pure word salad.
