I just read a post saying to open a dollar account here. Does that only apply to US dollars? I'm asking because I'm from Australia.

I already have a peso account here. What else would you need in the Philippines?

We send AUD from an Australian bank to a Philippine bank in pesos using Remitly's "pay to" option. No problems, good exchange rates, and it's fast.

I've been trying to open a dollar account for over a week. PNB doesn't seem to follow their own guidelines. They ask for an ACR card, but mine says tourist, and the manager is sure I must have an SRRV. Any good ways to handle this?
