Hello, is there consumer protection law here? I bought a new car six months ago and have had a lot of problems since then.
Now it won't start at all, and when I turn it on, a warning alarm goes off. The dealer keeps sending technicians, and they say the problem is different every time. Now they're saying I need to order new parts.
I'm fed up with all of it and want to return the car.
It's still under warranty, but every time a technician comes out, I'm charged for gas, tolls, and meals.
What rights do I have, if any?

Foreigners have no rights here. I bought a 3-bedroom house directly from a builder, and during the first heavy rain in Ugi, the indoor ceilings in two rooms collapsed. When I went to the builder, they said it was my problem. There's no construction warranty in the Philippines, so be very careful about any warranty or guarantee here. I once bought a USB from a famous shop, and they put their own warranty sticker on it, but the warranty was only 7 days. As I said, watch out for fake warranties.

I've had warranty problems a few times too. I bought a new cooler and contacted the seller 4 times (the manager was at lunch, the manager was in the bathroom, etc.). I went there in person, and the technician came three times with no answer. When I contacted the manufacturer, three technicians were at my door an hour later. They took the board, said it was defective, and then I got no reply for 2 months. I contacted the manufacturer again and said I'd upgrade if I paid just a few thousand pesos more, and the next day they brought the upgraded model and even gave a discount. A bad reputation is the key to getting things resolved. One bad public comment costs them thousands of pesos in lost sales. I did the same with a TV. I took it to the store and the repair shop handling the warranty, and waited 2 months for a board. Like before, I emailed the manufacturer, and within 2 weeks a new TV arrived. Remember what they're afraid of.

If you take the car to the dealer, there's no extra cost. But if you want a house call service, who did you expect to pay for the gas and transportation??? Traffic can make it an hour each way.
