I took a 2-hour bus from the province to the city to get to the hospital, then rode a jeepney and a tricycle to get there. I could have taken a Grab once I arrived in the city, but I saved 630 pesos 😁
If you get hurt in a tricycle or jeepney, you already have a doctor's appointment lined up, right?
Sorry, but I have to ask.🙋🏻♀️ Why would an elderly foreigner with health problems live so far from the hospital? To save money, because the remote village is cheaper? Aren't you scared? A stroke or heart attack can come in less than 5 minutes. People say the golden time is only 4 minutes.
I first came to the Philippines in the early 1980s, and back then the main modes of transport were walking, tricycles, jeepneys, and buses. Almost 50 years later, the main modes of transport are still walking, tricycles, jeepneys, and buses. Some things don't change, which may or may not be a good thing.
In some places, tricycle taxis cost more than Grab cars.
