My birthday was recently. My coworkers actually bought an 'It is your birthday' banner and hung up brown and silver balloons. I almost died laughing and couldn't calm down for at least an hour. The best part was that they were blowing up balloons at my cubicle and forgot a few. So when I went in, my chair was full of un-inflated balloons. I asked if they did it on purpose and they said, "Oh! No! I forgot!!!! hahaha"
That's an old chair. My grandparents had one like that. Heavy and sturdy. You don't see those anymore.
She tried and she's so excited, and that's sweeter than a birthday cake. And people are downvoting this lol
I just wish someone would put in even that much effort for my birthday.

What's funny about this....?
Falling short of expectations can be funny in itself, depending on the situation or the relationship. Or maybe she didn't want a big party or anything over the top, so the half-done look was unexpected yet suited her taste, and still showed good intentions, which made it perfect. It's the same kind of comedy as exaggerating or going overboard. It's not for everyone, but I thought it was funny.
