Thanks!

P.S. I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but I use Globe in the Philippines.

You can use an eSIM too, but I just use Globe's prepaid roaming product because it's simple. The 30-day plan has different data and prices. 5–10GB costs 600–900 pesos. My wife uses the 30-day plan. Since I travel a lot, I use the 1-year roaming plan for 1,599 pesos. 😎🏝️🍹

If it were me, I'd check what's good at the airport and decide then. AIS and True have similar coverage and prices. Personally, I like AIS. The airport is a bit more expensive, but it's more convenient than waiting until you reach a mall or 7-Eleven just to save a few baht. Roaming is possible if you don't use much data, but it's not great unless your carrier offers free roaming like T-Mobile in the US. I'm not sure how much roaming costs with Smart, but you can check in the app.

Smart! Good signal! Smart is owned by PLDT, which was the first and oldest telecom in this country. There are lots of towers even in remote provinces! The problem is that signal drops in places owned by Ayala. Unfortunately, this monopoly belongs to the Ayala family, who own Globe, Smart's competitor.
